So in our district we write standards based IEP goals. We use the Essential Elements from the Dynamic Learning Maps Consortium as our state alternative standards. We tend to focus on Speaking and Listening standards and some early reading and writing standards for communication goals.
For activities and strategies - that is where the work of this group came in - we are always looking for activities and strategies to use with our wide range of abilities. Our teachers feel that this list has provided great learning activities for promoting communication skills.
