Communication and Symbolic Behavior Scales--seeking reviews

I am trying to get information about the usefulness of the Communication and Symbolic Behavior Scales (Prizant and Wetherby). It's pretty expensive, and before ordering it, I'd like to hear from people who have used it about whether it has been helpful. The districts I work with seem interested in whether it can be used to identify children for eligibility. I am more concerned with whether it has been helpful in goal selection and monitoring progress. I'm especially interested in the norms for kids who are older than 2 years (it states up to six years with developmental delays). Has anybody here had experience with either the "screening" version or the full test--also wondering about whether the screening version would serve my purposes.

Isn't this something that has been around a long time? I found this link: Communication and Symbolic Behavior Scales (Prizant and Wetherby) but I am unclear. Is this the complete scale itself? Or does this form accompany something else? (In response to your comment stating that it's expensive?) Thank you-

Hi Linda,

I'll ask around in my district to see if anyone has reviews of this product. Unfortunately, I hadn't heard of it until now.
