Hi Emily,

I liked your response in behavioral shaping for the student who vocalizes to gain attention

Could I give an example of a student in my classroom who does not have the ability to vocalize? He uses a switch placed on his desk to gain the teachers attention, however he can be destructive to the switch and rip it off his desk. We are also looking at a watch type button to place on his

wrist to gain attention as well. My question is are there any other strategies that we can take if the switch doesn't work long-term?

Thanks for your feedback!
